David Sheeler
Executive Vice President, Freedom Mortgage Corporation
David Sheeler serves as Executive Vice President of Correspondent Lending and Servicing Finance at Freedom Mortgage leading, a national, full service mortgage corporation. Freedom is a top 10 mortgage issuer and a leading VA and GNMA lender.
Mr. Sheeler has over 14 years of experience in mortgage banking and 21 years professional experience. Within the mortgage banking industry, Mr. Sheeler has held various roles including a year at W.J. Bradley Mortgage Capital as the Executive Vice President of Correspondent Lending and managed branch operations. Prior to W.J. Bradley, Mr. Sheeler spent the last six years in the Correspondent Lending Division of JPMorgan Chase, holding the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Pricing & Trading Operations Manager. During his time at Chase Mr. Sheeler managed the release of all major correspondent pricing systems and the overall technology initiatives for the correspondent channel. For the four years prior to Chase, Mr. Sheeler worked at Countrywide Financial in various roles, including VP of Financial Planning, Warehouse Lending Chief Financial Officer and VP of Warehouse Lending Counterparty Risk. Prior to his time in the mortgage banking industry, Mr. Sheeler served in various roles with subsidiaries of BNP Paribas for more than five years. His roles included Mergers & Acquisition, Divisional Chief Financial Officer, and Director of International Development. Prior to his time with BNP Paribas, Mr. Sheeler earned a CPA working at Deloitte & Touche LLP for three years in the financial services group. Mr. Sheeler holds an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University with an MBA from University of Southern California.
Carla Wise
Senior Advisor, Freedom Mortgage Corporation
Carla Wise currently serves as Senior Advisor at Freedom Mortgage Corporation and prior served as President of the Freedom Mortgage Residential Servicing Division.
She has over 35 years of mortgage servicing experience; prior to Freedom Mortgage Carla served as Executive Vice President of Aurora Loan Services where she was Head of Residential Servicing and served in Senior Level Leadership roles at Carrington Mortgage, Indy Mac Bank in Pasadena California and Irwin Mortgage Corporation in Indianapolis, Indiana. She attended Indiana University/Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI) and has attended the MBA School of Mortgage Banking. She is past president of the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association and serves on the Loan Administration Committee for the National Mortgage Bankers Association. Carla is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) and has her Certified Residential Mortgage Professional (CRMP) state designation.
